Dufferin Grey ATV Club’s Directors elected to donate $1,000 to the Owen Sound Fire Relief Victims fund.
President Tim Allen delivered the funds to the United Way of Bruce/Grey.
United Way expressed their gratitude to the club on behalf of the 15 families who lost their homes in the August 2015 fires.

The morning of October 5, 2013 was overcast and threatened rain when 80 machines arrived in Markdale, signed in and traveled through the beautiful Beaver Valley and the Municipalities of Grey Highlands and Chatsworth to assist DGATV to raise $2,250 to be donated to the Grey Highlands Health Services Foundation as part of the CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon. Ron Goldsmith delivered DGATV’s cheque to the radiothon that was held in Wingham on October 19th.
Poker hand winners were: Melinda Bates receiving carrier for the back of the ATV that was donated by Thomboys; Don Orth won the Allstar Resort weekend away for 4 people; and the monitor donated by Wright Net Designs was won by Tom Bowman. Some of the other businesses that donated were Strictly Recreation, Larry’s, M.a.N’s, Parkway Yamaha, J & R Cycle, Highland Grounds in Flesherton, Top O’ The Rock, Jim Turnbull Inc., Ams Oil, rentals and numerous other businesses.
Ruth Ann Turnbull and the Event Committee did an excellent job planning this event as well as carrying it through and making sure everyone received their winning prize

A beautiful day for the Cinqo de Mayo (May 5th) ride. This Mexican themed event presented a $50 gift card to the best dressed, as well as $100 gift card to the furthest traveled.
Sponsors included Parkway Yamaha, Hatten Home Hardware in Chatsworth, Markdale Home Hardware, Universal Rental Service, Dairy Daughter Gas Bar, Markdale Foodland, Village Green Cafe and Hawthorne Cottages and Camping.
Proceeds from the ride and individual donations were distributed between two locals charities: Beavercrest Public School Breakfast Club ($405) and the Markdale Food Bank ($425).
