Hello ATV and SXS ridersIt's come to our attention that a motion is being raised at the Eastern Ontario Wardens' Caucus meeting this Friday to move for a rebranded EOTA pass. Like you, we'd like to see a single pass in Ontario but this "One Pass" is not it. The individual who brought the motion forward is misrepresenting the OFATV and its membership. The OFATV uses the funds from permit sales to promote safety and develop trails. This is accomplished by two employees and many, many amazing volunteers. This past year we have grown to 22 clubs, 13,500 riders, 7500 KM of trails and are advocating fiercely with the Provincial Government for greater access and increased safety. We are connecting trails through our clubs and working hard to give our riders an amazing riding experience. This proposal will directly affect, Ottawa Valley ATV club, Coe Hill ATV club, Verona ATV club, Northumberland ATV club, Renfrew County ATV club ATV club of Eastern Ontario, Nation Valley ATV club, Johnstown ATV club, Rideau Lakes ATV club, Algonquin Trailriders and Thousand Islands ATV club by loss of trail access. If you are a member of one of theses clubs please contact your local Mayor and ask some tough question on how the One pass will benefit you as a tax payer. Here is a link to the EOWC www.eowc.org/en/about-us/our-municipalities.aspx if you click on About Us link there is a list of contacts that you can use. There has been a direct investment from our clubs into trails of $852,455.70. ATV clubs are the right way to go to build trail systems. ...
